Each condo at Sonoran Sea Rocky Point offers a full kitchen, dining and living room, washer and dryer, and satellite TV for your convenience. Guests enjoy 24-hour security within a gated community, ensuring a safe and comfortable stay.

  • Oceanfront Pools: The resort boasts three oceanfront swimming pools, including an adults-only pool and a family pool with a small water-slide. The adult pool is heated during the winter months.

Living area has a total of 734 sq ft plus a 137 sq ft balcony. 871 total sq ft.

Rocky Point Sonoran Sea 1 bedroom condo

Sonoran Sea Resort 2 Bedroom 2 Bath Condo. Sleeps up to 6 people regardless of age if condo has a sofa bed. If no sofa bed then only 4 guests are allowed in condo. Ocean front views, full kitchen, balcony, living room. Bed type depends on which condo you choose.
This 2 bedroom condo offers a living area of 1,141 sq ft with a 300 sq ft balcony for a combined total of 1,441 sq ft.

2 Bedroom Condo

Sonoran Sea Resort 3 Bedroom 2 Bath Condo.  Sleeps up to 8 guests regardless of age if condo has a sofa bed.  If no sofa bed then only 6 guests are allowed in condo regardless of age.  Ocean front views, full kitchen, balcony, living room.  Bed type depends on which condo you choose.
This 3 bedroom condo offers a living area of 1,497 sq ft plus a 436 sq ft balcony for a combined total of  1,933 sq ft.

3 Bedroom Condo

Sonoran Sea Resort 3 Bedroom 2 Bath Deluxe Condo has a larger living room than a regular 3 bedroom condo.  Sleeps up to 8 guests regardless of age if condo has a sofa bed.  If no sofa bed then only 6 guests are allowed in condo regardless of age.  Ocean front views, full kitchen, balcony, living room.  Bed type depends on which condo you choose.
This 3 bedroom condo offers a living area of 1,733 sq ft plus a 387 sq ft balcony for a combined total of  2,120 sq ft.

The occupancy limits are as follows:
1 Bedroom Condo sleeps 4.  Two people if no sofa bed.
2 Bedroom Condo sleeps 6.  Four people if no sofa bed.
3 Bedroom Condo sleeps 8.  Six people if no sofa bed.

Children 2 years and younger do not get bracelets.

Yes, all condos have balconies with an ocean front views.

No safe in the condos.

No, there is no daily maid service provided but if you wish you can schedule a cleaning at the front desk for an additional fee.

Room service is not available but restaurant is located on the ground floor where you can place your order and come back and get it later.

Resort Policies

No, day passes are not for sale and only guests with bracelets staying at the resort are allowed on the premises.

No, any pet from rental guests is not allowed even if you have a service pet.  Only owners are allowed to have pets at the resort.

You do not have to pay any additional fees for beach chairs but beach towels are not available.  You will need to bring your own beach towels.

No smoking allowed anywhere on the property.

Yes, anyone staying at the Sonoran Sea resort needs to have a bracelet or they will not be allowed to be on the premises.  With the exception of children 2 years old and younger who do not require bracelets.

No, if you have reached the maximum number of guests allowed in your condo you will not be allowed to buy any additional bracelets.

Location and Access

Sonoran Sea resort has its own restaurant and right across the street you will find Banditos and Changos.  Also just about a half a mile away is the Reef.  But if you want to visit the Malecon where you will find lots of dining and entertaining it will be about a 7 to 10 minute drive depending on traffic.
Calle 13, another popular spot in Rocky Point Mexico is only about a 5 minute drive and if you are up for a walk it’s less than a mile away if you walk on the beach.  Click here to see a city map

Dining and Food

No, Sonoran Sea resort presently does not offer all inclusive packages. All condos include full kitchens and all cooking utensils are provided so if you wanted to cook your own meals and bring your own drinks you could do this.

Coolers are fine on the beach but not by the pool.

Yes, food is allowed around the pool area and drinks are okay as long as they are in plastic containers.  No glass containers of any type.

Yes, you can order food and drinks from the swim up bar

Pool and Recreation

Yes, there is one pool heated in the cooler months. The Jacuzzis are heated year round.

ATV rentals are not available right at Sonoran Sea but you will see lots of vendors down the street.  They are almost everywhere in the Sandy beach area.

Yes, charcoal BBQ grills are available by the parking lot area of the Sonoran Sea resort.  Bring your own charcoal.

Yes, you can rent or make reservations for various activities at the dive shop located in the lobby area at the Sonoran Sea resort.  There are also always vendors on the beach right in front of the resort who have jet skies, banana boat rides, paddle boards and kayaks available for rent.  You can also get a beach massage at very affordable rates.  Usually about 40.00 an hour.

The pool closes every day at 9pm

Safety and Amenities

No, the tap water is not purified.  It is safe for bathing and doing dishes but not good for drinking.  Make sure you bring your own bottled water or buy in Puerto Penasco.

Check-In and Check-Out Times

Check in is at 4 pm and check out is at 11 am.  If you arrive earlier than 4 pm you can check in and get your bracelets and you will be allowed to use the restaurant and facilities in the common areas while you wait for your condo to be ready.

  • Choosing Your Room: For a quieter stay, book a room on higher floors away from the pool areas. Ground-level rooms may experience more noise during peak seasons.
  • Sunrise and Sunset Views: The east building offers the best sunrise views and night time city lights, while the west building provides beautiful sunset views and afternoon shade.
  • Panoramic Ocean Views: Higher floors offer sweeping ocean views regardless of which building you stay in.
  • Internet Access: WiFi is available in the pool and lobby areas. Only some condos offer private WiFi, so prepare for slower speeds, especially during busy times.

  • Bring Beach Towels: Beach towels are not provided, so be sure to bring your own for beach activities.
