Rocky Point Nightlife – What to do / Where to go

Puerto Penasco is known as a vacation destination for its endless miles of sandy beaches but perhaps Rocky Point is best known for its outstanding nightlife.

Tourists from all over come together to bring this town to life after dark. From fiestas, dance clubs, live music, sunset cruises, restaurant/bars to sunset views and late night meals, you’ll find a great nightlife experience here!

The Malecon

Everyone who visits Rocky Point heads for the famous malecon. This is where you’ll find the most nighttime activity. It’s full of things to do and see along the way. The Malecon spans algonside the ocean with food vendors, restaurants, bars, shops, live music, ice cream parlors, drug stores and so much more.

JJ’s Cantina

Iconic hangout located in Cholla Bay and one of the first bars to open in Rocky Point. JJ’s Cantina offers music festivals, fishing tournaments, and other events throughout the year. Inexpensive food and drinks with great view of the ocean!

Wrecked at the Reef

Beach Bar with a large outdoor patio and beach palapa seating. Fire pits, ping pong tables, high definition TV’s, corn toss. Wrecked at the Reef offers live music every Friday and Saturday. Offering a full menu of drinks as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Sunset Cruise

Unwind after a day of adventure and gaze at the beautiful views of the ocean as the sun illuminates the evening sky. The ocean here has some of the calmest waters making this a fun adventure for everyone and the best part, very reasonably priced! Enjoy open bar, chips and salsa and lots of dancing while you sail away into the sunset.

Tequila Factory

Sample various types of tequila from blue agave to mescal. On this tequila tour you will also learn all about tequila’s history dating back to 1000 B.C.

Elixir Bar

Small, yet nice place with great DJs and a cheerful crowd. Rooftop dance floor with great views. Three separate music rooms. Cover includes drinks.

Manny’s Beach Club

Beach front restaurant & bar located in the Mirador area. Newly remodeled, swimming pool, live music on the weekends, dance floor, food and drink specials, beach access and great views!

Banditos

Named after Roger Clyne’s hit song “Banditos”. Great food, smooth tequila, cold beer and fantastic live music! Owned by Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers. Located across the street from Sonoran Sea.

Changos

Located in the Sandy Beach area across the street from Sonoran Spa. With a safari flare, the restaurant offers live music on the weekends, dancing, good food, giant margaritas, swimming pool and good prices.
