What Is Circus Mexicus?

Circus Mexicus began as a tiny rooftop gathering when Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers (RCPM) played at Sunset Cantina in 2000, and has grown into a multi-day music festival drawing fans from across the U.S. and Mexico.

Four Days of Sun, Sand, and Sonoran Rock

While the full roster of supporting acts is being finalized, you can expect 25+ bands across multiple genres including reggae, folk, and punk, taking over venues all across town.

  • Thursday, May 28: The kick-off! Expect intimate sets at Cholla Bay and local favorites like JJ’s Cantina.
  • Friday, May 29: Daytime music at Sandy Beach venues followed by the first big night at the main stage.
  • Saturday, May 30: The main event! Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers headline the big stage at Banditos.
  • Sunday, May 31: The legendary “Mañanero” sets and the Hangover Soccer Tournament to wrap up the weekend.

SINGO at Banditos

Attendees can participate in SINGO at Banditos on Friday and Saturday mornings at 10 AM.

This music-themed bingo game replaces traditional numbers with song titles from Circus Mexicus bands.

Players mark their boards upon hearing the corresponding songs, with opportunities to win prizes and enjoy complimentary shots.​

Monday Wristband Exchange at JJ’s Cantina

After a weekend of music, attendees are invited to JJ’s Cantina on Monday morning.

By presenting their intact festival wristband, guests can receive a complimentary drink.

JJ’s opens at 9 AM for breakfast from Friday through Monday, with live music on Monday starting at 10:30 AM
