Pollo Lucas

One place tourists and locals alike recommend for a budget friendly, fast, easy and finger-licking delicious food is Pollo Lucas. The restaurant is located in downtown Rocky Point on the main road Blvd. Benito Juarez and is known for its fresh and juicy rotisserie charbroiled chicken.

The menu is simple enough. You can get a quarter, half or a whole chicken accompanied by rice, fresh shredded cabbage, pickled onions, homemade salsa, and warm hand made tortillas. That’s it! You can choose to eat in or take it with you. The service is fast, very affordable for the amount of food you get and the food is amazing. The aguas frescas are also really good!

Sonoran Grill

Another good and affordable place to eat for lunch and dinner is the Sonoran Grill located at the Sonoran Spa in Sandy Beach. This nice, small grill/pub has the most amazing chicken tacos and oven baked pizza.

The service is friendly and fast, even though the food is cooked to order. The space inside is small, but there are tables located outside where you can enjoy the sea breeze and the amazing weather.

The menu is extensive and covers everything, from Mexican dishes to seafood to pizza.

Kaffee Haus

If you are looking for a full breakfast, look no further than Kaffee Haus located in Blvd. Benito Juarez Garcia. Consistently one of the highest rated restaurants in town, this small restaurant is known for its delicious pastries, pancakes, and breads in a German-inspired coffee house.

They are open from early in the morning to mid-afternoon.

Huge lattes, fresh squeezed juices, great waffles, large food portions and great service!

They only accept cash payments. It is usually very busy and sometimes you may have to park across the street ($2 fee) but it’s worth the wait!

Candy Cake

For those with a sweet tooth, Candy Cake offers not only amazing donuts, pastries, and French Toast, but also delicious coffees and deserts. This is another great place for breakfast but they also serve lunch.

Plates are flavorful and hearty, fresh orange juice and good coffee. The hardest part will be choosing between a savory or sweet meal.

It gets really busy, we suggest going there early if you go on the weekends.

Candy Cake is a Rocky Point must visit if you like to indulge on sweet treats before a great day at the beach.

Wrecked at the Reef

To enjoy the breathtaking sunsets in a fun atmosphere, head to Wrecked at the Reef at the end of Sandy Beach. This bar and grill offers good food with an amazing ocean view and a live band with great music!

If you arrive early in the evening you will see families playing a game of cornhole and enjoying the beach, if you stay a bit late, the atmosphere is fun and relaxing.

You can dine inside the restaurant or head outside where the sand will touch your toes while you enjoy the sunset.

La Curva

If you are looking for a great place to eat that doesn’t always feel like a total tourist spot, make sure to add this to your list. La Curva has been around for many years and it’s a local’s favorite.

Traditional Mexican food as well as seafood at a really good price. Great menu with lots of options and large portions for the price. The “special” fish is delicious!

The food is great and the service is excellent! This place is good any time of day. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, you name it!

Great family atmosphere also. Tips are only in cash!
